Curious about learning how to use a wheel in the ceramics studio? Want to make beautiful pieces you can use at home? Throw yourself into learning all about “The Potter’s Wheel”!
In this course, students will learn wheel-throwing, hand-building, and glazing techniques with the end goal of creating function art pieces. Class time will be spent honing fundamental skills on the wheel and how to make basic forms such as bowls, cups and vases.
Students will gradually learn more advanced techniques–like throwing plates, trimming techniques, and attaching mug handles. Come to class with ideas, energy, and ready to learn all about the world of clay!
This is an 8-week, 1.5 hour, after school class. All materials are included.
