Students paint a landscape in the studio, using photographs as reference, and work to incorporate simple designs that provide a strong foundation and thoughtful composition. Learn to create a sense of atmosphere and emotion, instead of just replicating a photograph. Class discusses how to paint from a focal point while considering values, composition and edges. The workshop includes instructor demonstrations and plenty of individual attention. Students should bring their own photographs and field studies (if available) for reference material.
