Celebrate the season with a day of beauty, creativity, and inspiration! Join floral designer Jennifer Reed and artist Jan Wier for a festive, full-day workshop blending winter floral design with expressive floral painting.
The Morning: Seasonal Floral Arranging with Jennifer Reed
The workshop begins with winter blooms! Jennifer will guide students in creating a seasonal floral arrangement perfect for the holidays—think fragrant evergreens, rich winter florals, textural berries, and natural elements that evoke the warmth and beauty of winter.
All flowers, vessels, and tools will be provided. Jennifer will walk you through each step of the design process, offering individual support and floral design tips. You’ll leave the morning session with your own lush, winter-inspired centerpiece—ideal for your holiday table or as a meaningful seasonal gift.
Lunch Break
We’ll take a one-hour break for lunch. You’re welcome to bring your own or enjoy one of the nearby local spots.
The Afternoon: Painting with Jan Wier
After lunch, we’ll turn our attention to painting. Using your own floral creation as inspiration, Jan will begin with a demo and then offer personalized instruction as you bring your arrangement to life on canvas. This session focuses on capturing the color, movement, and mood of winter florals in a loose, expressive painting style—perfect for all experience levels.
You’ll leave the day with:
• A handcrafted winter floral arrangement
• A unique floral painting inspired by your own design
• Seasonal joy and creative inspiration
Whether you’re looking to refresh your holiday décor, make something meaningful by hand, or simply spend a cozy winter day immersed in creativity, this workshop is a beautiful way to celebrate the season.

Linseed or walnut oil – small container
Paper Towels – Viva (my favorite, but any will do)

Jan Wier
Working for over 25 years with interior design clients to bring beauty and grace to their homes which includes placing art, Jan has learned to meld what the client desires in their home; visual impact while reflecting their personal tastes. Always hungry for color, beauty and harmony in her painting, Jan seeks to reflect the grace notes of welcome that people desire in their homes and lives – that well placed cherished vase, fresh flowers, or perhaps even a happy cupcake! Jan’s paintings are done in oil on canvas or board with a luscious use of creamy oil paint. Jan’s painting style is loose and impressionistic with nothing too perfect; life is more interesting that way. Jan’s goal is to have her artwork bring a heartbeat of joy, color, and light to life.
