Feast the Eyes
Celebrating the Beauty of the Bounty

October 24 – November 20, 2010

As fall approaches the harvest ripens, is gathered and stored away. We turn our eyes to the skies and sense the coming of change. There’s a nip in the air. For now the barns are full.  Relish the Feast with your Eyes also and savor the beauty of the bounty we enjoy.

About the Exhibit

Celebrating the beauty of the bounty, the Wayne Art Center is pleased to announce the

“Feast the Eyes” exhibit which will be on display from October 24 through November 20, 2010. The exhibit features a body of accepted entries from artists working in painting, drawing, pastel, mixed media, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture and fiber representing all things edible. The focus of the exhibit will be on the delectability, sensuosity, freshness and tempting nature of food.

The sale and exhibition of accepted works will be highlighted at an Opening Reception in conjunction with the Fall Members Show on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 3-5 pm. The show will remain open to the public in the Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Gallery through November 20, 2010. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 10-5 pm.

The Wayne Art Center will also feature cooking demonstrations on Wednesday evenings during the exhibit by area restaurant chefs in teaching kitchen at the Center.

A portion of the proceeds raised through sales will benefit Wayne Art Center exhibitions, educational programs and outreach. For more information go to www.wayneart.org.
