Meg Boscov is a graduate of Northwestern University and currently resides in Wayne, Pennsylvania, where she continually finds personal joy and creative energy in her surroundings. Her background in acting and singing put her on an artistic journey that continues to focus on storytelling, on discovering and communicating the creative and emotional story in each image. She sees the world in small detail, which she captures through using selective focus and playing with depth of field. Her backyard continues to be a source of discovery, from the beautiful gardens she planted to her pool. In her current series “Healing Visions,” she explores nature as a source of healing and spirituality; it was inspired by guided imagery practice while dealing with a chronic illness, compounded by the isolation of COVID.
Boscov’s award-winning photography has appeared in numerous in-person, print, and web exhibitions, including the Photo Review, the Shanti Arts Still Point Gallery and Quarterly Journal, the Foley Gallery in NYC, the PhotoPlace in Middlebury, VT, and at various galleries and art centers in the Philadelphia area, most recently at the Wayne Art Center as part of SEEING THE WORLD ANEW: A Fine Art Photography Invitational in 2022. Her book HAND-IN-HAND pairs her macro-photography with micro-essays, one for each week of the year. Her current book- the Kirkus-starred HEALING VISIONS- matches her photography with the prose of fifty-two international women writers. Some of the photographic images included in this volume are featured in Healing Visions – Photographs by Meg Boscov at Wayne Art Center from October 16-November 11, 2023.
